Relationship between functionaldisability and quality of life in patients with painful shoulder syndrome at the rehabilitation hospital of callao,2022

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between functional disability and quality of life in patients with Painful Shoulder Syndrome at the Callao Rehabilitation Hospital in 2022. Materials and Methods: The study involved 80 patients diagnosed with Painful Shoulder Syndrome, of both sexes, aged 25-50 years. The instruments used were the Shoulder, Arm, and Hand Disability Questionnaire (DASH), with a reliability of 0.724, and the WHOQOL-BREF Quality of Life Questionnaire, with a reliability of 0.968. Both questionnaires used the test technique. The study approach was quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional. Results: 14.6% of patients had severe functional disability and very low quality of life. 54.5% of patients with maximum functional disability had very low quality of life. Conclusion: The "sig" value of the hypothesis test was 0.04, which is less than 0.05, indicating sufficient evidence to conclude that the variables are associated, confirming the relationship between functional disability and quality of life in patients with shoulder syndrome.

Determinar la relación entre la discapacidad funcional y la calidad de vida en pacientes con Síndrome de Hombro Doloroso del Hospital de Rehabilitación del Callao, 2022 Materiales y métodos: Participaron 80 pacientes diagnosticados con Síndrome de Hombro Doloroso, de ambos sexos y edades de 25 a 50 años. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron fueron Cuestionario de Discapacidad del hombro, brazo y mano (DASH) la confiabilidad del instrumento fue 0.724 y Cuestionario de calidad de vida (WHOQOL – BREF)la confiabilidad del instrumento fue 0.968, ambos cuestionarios que utilizan la técnica test ; Enfoque del estudio es cuantitativo , correlacional , de corte transversal Resultados. Existe un 14.6% pacientes que tienen una intensa discapacidad funcional y una muy baja calidad de vida. Hay un 54.5% de pacientes con discapacidad funcional máxima y que poseen una calidad de vida muy baja. Conclusión El valor de “sig” la prueba de hipótesis es de 0.04 y como es menor de 0.05, se puede concluir que con un nivel de significación del 5% hay suficiente evidencia para decir que las variables están asociadas. se evidencia que existe una relación entre la discapacidad funcional y calidad de vida en pacientes con síndrome de hombro
