Relationship between Fatigue Levels and Working Conditions of Nurses at Santa María del Socorro Hospital During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Ica – 2020.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the level of fatigue related to working conditions among nurses at the Santa María del Socorro Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. Material and Methods: This is a quantitative study with qualitative variables, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The population consists of 80 nursing professionals working at the institution, categorizing inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection was carried out using a survey as the technique, with validated instruments through a pilot test involving 30 participants for the fatigue variable ("Check List Individual Strength" - CIS) and working conditions ("Self-assessment of nursing working conditions in high-complexity settings"). A data tabulation and analysis plan was used. Data processing will be performed using SPSS 26 for analysis. Results: The results will be presented in tables and bar graphs, which will help identify the direct or indirect relationship between the level of fatigue and working conditions among the nurses, in order to pinpoint the main issues and improve working conditions to reduce the risk of fatigue among nurses.

El trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de fatiga relacionada a las condiciones de trabajo en las enfermeras del Hospital Santa María del Socorro durante la pandemia COVID – 19. Material y Métodos. Es enfoque cuantitativo con variables cualitativas, descriptivo y de corte transversal, la población es de 80 profesionales de enfermería que laboran en dicha institución, categorizando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, para recolectar de datos se empleó encuesta como técnica, los instrumentos validados por prueba piloto de 30 participantes para la variable fatiga Check List Individual Strength” (CIS) y condiciones de trabajo “Autoevaluación de condiciones de trabajo de enfermería en alta complejidad”. Plan de tabulación y análisis de datos. El procesamiento de datos se llevará al SPSS 26 para su análisis. Resultados. Sera evidenciado en tablas y representados en gráficos de barra que ayudara a identificar la relación directa o indirecta entre el nivel de fatiga y las condiciones de trabajo en las enfermeras, para identificar los problemas principales y mejorar las condiciones de trabajo para reducir el riesgo de fatiga en las enfermeras.
