Knowledge and practices of biosafety standards for nursing staff in the neonatology service of a hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The objective of this study will be: "Determine the relationship between knowledge and practices on the biosafety standards of nursing staff in the neonatology service of a hospital in Lima 2023", the method that will be applied will be hypothetical deductive since it will be created hypothesis, the quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional non-experimental design, in a population of 49 nurses from the neonatology service during the planned period. The data collection technique will be the survey and the instrument will be the questionnaire, both for the knowledge variable and for biosafety practices. Likewise, for data processing and analysis, an Excel spreadsheet will be used, which will then be exported to the SPSS V.27 software to determine the classification given in both variables. The results, conclusions and recommendations will be shown when determining the existing relationship between the variables.

El presente estudio tendrá como objetivo:” Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y prácticas sobre las normas de bioseguridad del personal de enfermería en el servicio de neonatología de un hospital de Lima 2023”, el método que se aplicará será hipotético deductivo ya que se creará hipótesis, el enfoque de tipo cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental transversal, en una población de 49 enfermeras del servicio de neonatología durante el periodo planificado. L técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta y el instrumento será el cuestionario, tanto para la variable conocimientos como para las prácticas de bioseguridad. Asimismo, para el procesamiento y análisis de datos se utilizará una hoja de cálculo Excel la que luego será exportada al software SPSS V.27 para la determinar la correlación que se de en ambas variables. Los resultados, conclusiones y recomendaciones se mostrarán al determinar la relación existente entre las variables.
