Family support and quality of life of patients with chronic kidney failure under hemodialysis treatment at the nuestra señora del Carmen Dialysis Center, Cañete-2023

Abstract

Introduction: With the passage of time, an alarming increase in people suffering from chronic renal failure has been observed, likewise, the most widely used alternative substitution therapy; It is hemodialysis, this procedure has an effect that significantly marks people's lives, since they suffer various physical, social and emotional changes on a daily basis; In this sense, it is important to study the relationship between the support provided by the family to the patient and how it affects their quality of life. Objective: "To determine the relationship between family support and quality of life patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis treatment at the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Dialysis Center, Cañete-2023". Methodology: The method that will be used will be the hypotheticaldeductive one, it will be of a quantitative, non-experimental, correlational and transversal approach. The sample will be made up of 74 users, to whom 2 instruments will be applied. The first questionnaire to be used will be on the degree of family support, which will have 9 items and will evaluate 4 dimensions (affective, evaluative, informative and instrumental); The second instrument will be for the assessment of the standard of living, which will have 21 items and will be grouped into three dimensions: physical, psychological and social. Both instruments will allow a high value to be given to the research that will be carried out.

Introducción: Con el paso del tiempo, se ha observado el incremento alarmante de personas que padecen insuficiencia renal crónica, así mismo, la terapia de sustitución renal más utilizada es la hemodiálisis; este tratamiento tiene un efecto que marca significativamente la vida de las personas , puesto que a diario sufren diversos cambios físicos, emocionales y sociales ; en este sentido es importante estudiar la relación que existe entre el apoyo que brinda la familia al paciente y en qué forma afecta su calidad de vida. objetivo: “Determinar cómo el apoyo familiar se relaciona con calidad de vida de los pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica en tratamiento de hemodiálisis en el centro de diálisis Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Cañete-2023” Metodología: El método que se utilizará será el hipotético- deductivo, será de enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, correlacional y transversal. La muestra estará conformada por 78 usuarios, a quienes se aplicará 2 instrumentos, el primer cuestionario que se utilizará será sobre el grado de apoyo familiar que tendrá 9 ítems y evaluará 4 dimensiones (afectivo, valorativo, informativo e instrumental); el segundo instrumento será para la valoración del nivel de vida, que contará con 21 ítem y estará agrupada en tres dimensiones: física, psicológica y social. Ambos instrumentos permitirán dar un alto valor a la investigación que se realizará.
