Stress and work performance in the nurses of the intensive care unit of the emergency hospital Ate Vitarte-2022

Abstract

Introduction: Work stress is considered an unfavorable factor in any health institution because it damages the physical and mental condition of nurses, which generates negative consequences on their productivity and work performance. Objective: To establish how stress and job performance are related to nurses in the Intensive Care Unit. Materials and methods: Quantitative study, applied type, non-experimental or observational, correlated and cross-sectional design in which 80 nurses will participate as the study population and to whom two valid and reliable questionnaires will be applied. Two valid and reliable questionnaires will be applied. The instrument that will measure work stress has 34 items and covers 3 dimensions: individual, environmental and organizational factors, while work performance will be measured by a 28-item questionnaire that covers 4 dimensions: responsibility, leadership and teamwork, motivation and training and personal development. In relation to the analysis of descriptive information, tables classified by quantities and percentages will be developed, while for the inferential analysis, Spearman's Rho coefficient will be used for the analysis of the variables.

Objetivo: Establecer como se relaciona el estrés y desempeño laboral en las enfermeras de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Materiales y métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental u observacional, correlaciona y transversal en la cual participarán 60 enfermeras como la población de estudio y a quienes se les aplicarán dos cuestionarios válidos y confiables. Se aplicará dos cuestionarios válidos y confiables. El instrumento que medirá el estrés laboral presenta 34 ítems y abarca 3 dimensiones: factor individual, ambiental y organizacional, mientras que el desempeño laboral se medirá por un cuestionario de 28 ítems que abarca 4 dimensiones: responsabilidad, liderazgo y trabajo en equipo, motivación y formación y desarrollo personal. En relación al análisis de información descriptiva se desarrollarán tablas clasificadas por cantidades y porcentajes, mientras que para el análisis inferencial se utilizará el coeficiente Rho de Spearman para el análisis de las variables.
