Knowledge about safe surgery checklist and application by surgical center nursing staff of a private clinic, Lima 2020

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) points out that the problem of surgical safety is widely recognized throughout the world, because the patient undergoing surgery is exposed to various adverse events, including inadequate anesthetic safety practices. , avoidable surgical infections and poor communication between members of the health team. Due to this problem, the WHO has developed the implementation of the safe surgery checklist, which is a checklist that allows identifying whether the origin of the adverse events lies in the human factor or On the contrary, it is due to technical failures in this way to avoid or minimize an adverse event to guarantee the health and well-being of patients. Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and application of the safe surgery checklist in nurses at the Surgical Center of a Private Clinic 2020. Material and Method: The type of research is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach. , will be based on a survey and two instruments will be applied, for the first variable a questionnaire will be applied which will determine knowledge about the safe surgery checklist, the second variable an observation guide to verify the correct application of the list verification of safe surgery.

La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) señala que el problema de la seguridad de la cirugía está ampliamente reconocido en todo el mundo, debido a que el paciente sometido a una cirugía está expuesto a diversos eventos adversos, siendo las inadecuadas prácticas de seguridad anestésicas, las infecciones quirúrgicas evitables y la poca comunicación entre los miembros del equipo de salud, Debido a este problema la OMS ha desarrollado la implementación de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura el cual es una lista de chequeo que permite identificar si el origen de los eventos adversos reside en el factor humano o por el contrario se debe a fallos técnicos de esta manera evitar o minimizar un evento adverso para garantizar su salud y bienestar de los pacientes. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre en nivel de conocimientos y aplicación de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura en enfermeras de Centro Quirúrgico de una Clínica Privada 2020. Material y Método: El tipo de investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal, se basará en una encuesta y se aplicará dos instrumentos, para la primera variable se aplicará un cuestionario la que permitirá determinar el conocimiento sobre la lista de verificación de cirugía segura, la segunda variable una guía de observación para verificar la aplicación correcta de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura.
