Level of knowledge and its relationship with biosafety practice of nurses in a surgical center of a hospital in Lima 2023

Abstract

Surgical center staff have frequently been vulnerable; since the environment in which they are found is of greater risk, due to pathogenic agents; It is therefore of utmost importance for them to know and implement biosafety measures. Objective: Analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the biosafety practice of nurses in a Surgical Center of a Hospital in Lima 2023. Method: The study is hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, which will have a correlational level, with an applied type, with a non-experimental design, considering a population of 89 nursing professionals where two instruments were applied: for the first variable the questionnaire and the second observation guide variable. To finish with the data obtained in the survey, it will be transferred to the Excel program and processed in the statistical program SPSS version 25; where the results will be represented in tables and figures; and also when contracting hypotheses, the Spearman correlation statistic will be used, which will indicate the degree of relationship between the variables and thus verify the proposed hypotheses.

El personal de centro quirúrgico frecuentemente viene siendo vulnerable; ya que el entorno en que se encuentran es de mayor riesgo, debido a los agentes patógenos; es por ellos de suma importancia para ellos conocer e implementar las medidas de bioseguridad. Objetivo: Analizar la relación del nivel de conocimiento con la práctica sobre bioseguridad de las enfermeras en un Centro Quirúrgico de un Hospital de Lima 2023. Método: El estudio es hipotético deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, que tendrá un nivel correlacional, con tipo aplicada, con un diseño no experimental, considerando una población de 89 profesionales de enfermería donde se le aplicaran 2 instrumentos: para la primera variable el cuestionario y segunda variable guía de observación. Para finalizar con los datos obtenidos en la encuesta se pasarán al programa Excel y se procesará en el programa estadístico SPSS versión 25; donde los resultados se representarán en tablas y figuras; y asimismo la contratación de hipótesis se usará el estadístico de correlación de Spearman que indicará el grado de relación de las variables y así comprobar las hipótesis planteadas.
