Burnout Syndrome and Work Performance of the Nursing staff of the Intensive Care area of ​​the Chancay Hospital - 2022.

Abstract

The effect of this syndrome is mostly impacting the work performance of healthcare staff, leading to poor user care, and affecting empathy and promptness in their interventions. On the other hand, work performance is the orderly evaluation of each individual's behavior in relation to the competent activities they perform to achieve their goals and development potential. The primary objective of the study is to determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and the work performance of nursing staff in the intensive care unit of Chancay Hospital, Chancay – 2022 period. This research is applied with a quantitative approach, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional in nature. The population and census sample are the nurses working in the intensive care unit of Chancay Hospital, 2022 period. The technique of survey and observation will be applied to collect data on both variables.

El efecto de este síndrome está repercutiendo en mayor parte en la función laboral del personal de salud causando mala atención del usuario, afecta la empatía y prontitud en sus intervenciones. Por otro lado, el desempeño laboral es la valoración ordenada, del proceder de cada individuo en relación a las actividades competentes que realiza, para alcanzar sus metas y su potencial de desarrollo. El estudio tiene como objetivo primordial determinar la relación que existe entre el síndrome de burnout y el desempeño laboral del personal de enfermería del área de cuidados intensivos del hospital de Chancay, Chancay – periodo 2022. Esta investigación es aplicada de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, de nivel correlacional y transversal. La población y muestra censal son los enfermeros que laboran en la unidad de cuidados intensivos del hospital de chancay, periodo 2022. La técnica de la encuesta y observación es la que se aplicará para la recolección de las observaciones de ambas variables.
