Knowledge of the handling of surgical instruments before their delivery to the sterilization center in the technical nursing staff of the hospitalization services in a private clinic.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to determine the knowledge of the handling of surgical instruments before their delivery to the sterilization center in the nursing technical staff of the hospitalization services in a private clinic. The study has a non-experimental design of descriptive level and cross-section. It will be carried out on 60 nursing technicians of the aforementioned institution, in whom a virtual questionnaire prepared by the author of the study and made up of 15 multiple-choice items will be applied. The research variable considered is the level of knowledge on the handling of surgical instruments and includes three dimensions: general procedures, pre-washing and transfer.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal determinar el conocimiento del manejo del instrumental quirúrgico antes de su entrega a la central de esterilización en el personal técnico de enfermería de los servicios de hospitalización en una clínica privada. El estudio tiene un diseño no experimental de nivel descriptivo y corte transversal. Este se realizará en 60 técnicos en enfermería de la mencionada institución, en quienes se aplicará un cuestionario virtual elaborado por la autora del estudio y conformado por 15 ítems de alternativa múltiple. la variable de investigación considerada es el nivel de conocimientos sobre el manejo del instrumental quirúrgico y comprende tres dimensiones: procedimientos generales, prelavado y traslado.
