Maternal depression and mother-child attachment in postpartum women from a regional hospital of Huancayo, 2023

Abstract

The present research entitled “Maternal depression and its relationship with mother-child attachment in puerperal women from a public hospital in Huancayo, 2023, had as its main objective to determine the existing relationship between maternal depression and the attachment of mother and child in puerperal women. hospitalized, its study is a quantitative, applied, correlational, crosssectional, observational approach. The population will be made up of 150 postpartum women. The technique used was the survey. The instrument used was the “Maternal Depression Scale”, which is an adaptation of the “Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale”, and to assess mother-child attachment, the Massie-Campbell Scale, the child's response to the mother, was used. The data will be processed in Excel and then analyzed in SPSS, the hypotheses will be contrasted with the Spearman test. Throughout the development of the research, ethical conduct will be maintained, enforcing universal bioethical principles.

La presente investigación titulado “Depresión materna y su relación con el apego madre - niño en puérperas de un hospital público de Huancayo, 2023, tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación existente de la depresión materna y el apego de la madre y el niño en puérperas hospitalizadas, su estudio es de un enfoque cuantitativo, aplicada, correlacional, de corte transversal, observacional. La población estará conformada por 150 puérperas. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta. El instrumento que se utilizara fue “Escala de Depresión Materna” que es una adaptación del “Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale”, y para valorar el apego madre niño se utilizara Escala de Massie – Campbell respuesta del niño frente la madre. Los datos serán procesados en Excel y luego analizados en el SPSS, las hipótesis serán contrastadas con la prueba de Spearman. Durante todo el desarrollo de la investigación se mantendrá una conducta ética haciendo cumplir los principios bioéticos universales.
