Overload of the family caregiver and the degree of dependency of elderly patients hospitalized in the medicine service of the hospital Regional Huacho, 2022

Abstract

Objective: To determine how the overload of the family caregiver and the degree of dependency of elderly patients hospitalized in the medicine service of the Hospital Regional Huacho 2022. Material and method: study with a quantitative, correlational approach, non-experimental design, with cross-section. The population and sample will be made up of family caregivers of patients hospitalized in the medicine service of the Huacho Regional Hospital who meet the inclusion criteria. For the family caregiver variable, the Zarit test will be used, and for the second variable degree of dependency, the Barthel index will be used. Finally, the Sperm's Rho parametric correlation test will be applied in the IBM SPSS 25.0 program. For the research background and the state of the art of the study, they will be taken into account for the interpretation and discussion of the results.

Objetivo: Determinar como la sobrecarga del cuidador familiar se relaciona con el grado de dependencia de los pacientes adultos mayores hospitalizados en el servicio de medicina del Hospital Regional Huacho, 2022. Material y método estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional, diseño no experimental, con corte transversal. La población y muestra estará conformado por 80 familiares cuidadores de los pacientes hospitalizados en el servicio de medicina del Hospital Regional Huacho que cumplan con el criterio de inclusión. Para la variable cuidador familiar se procederá a evaluar con el test de Zarit, para la segunda variable grado de dependencia se evaluará con el índice de Barthel. Por último, se procederá a aplicar la prueba paramétrica de correlación de R de Sperman en el programa IBM SPSS 25.0. Para los antecedentes de investigación y el estado del arte del estudio se tendrán en cuenta para la interpretación y la discusión de los resultados.
