Knowledge and adherence to the vaccination schedule in children under one year at Villa Venturo Health Center, Lima, 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and compliance with the vaccination schedule in children under one year of age at the Villa Venturo Lima Health Post, 2022. Material and methods: it was quantitative, non-experimental, hypothetical, deductive, observational, correlational and cross-sectional, the sample was made up of 50 mothers of children under one year of age who are treated at the Villa Venturo Health Post. Being selected by research inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instrument was the questionnaire and the technique was the survey in which it was divided into three dimensions, which were conceptual knowledge, knowledge about side effects, and knowledge of post-vaccine care. The vaccination card was used to prepare the checklist, where according to the age of the infant, vaccinations must be completed. The reliability of the instrument was obtained using the Kudder Richardson test, obtaining KR= 0.712.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento con el cumplimiento del calendario de vacunación en niños menores de un año del Puesto de Salud Villa Venturo Lima, 2022. Material y métodos: fue de enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, hipotético deductivo, observacional, correlacional y de corte transeccional, la muestra fue constituida por 50 madres de niños menores de un año que se atienden en el Puesto de Salud Villa Venturo. Siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. El instrumento fue el cuestionario y la técnica fue la encuesta en el cual se dividió en tres dimensiones que fueron conocimiento conceptual, conocimiento sobre los efectos secundarios, conocimientos de los cuidados post vacunales. Se utilizó el carnet de vacunación para elaborar la lista de cotejo, en donde de acuerdo a la edad del lactante se deben cumplir con las vacunas. En el instrumento se obtuvo la confiabilidad mediante la prueba de Kudder Richardson obteniendo KR= 0.712.
