Family support and self-care capacity in patients with arterial hypertension in the cardiology outpatient clinic at a national institute, Lima 2024

Abstract

Introduction: High blood pressure, commonly known as high blood pressure, is a common health condition that affects millions of people around the world. It is a chronic disease that requires ongoing treatment, including medication, lifestyle changes, and self-care. Family support also plays a crucial role in improving patients' self-care ability. Objective: To determine how family support is related to the self-care capacity of patients with arterial hypertension in the cardiology outpatient clinic of a National Institute, Lima 2024. Methodology: Quantitative research and a hypothetical-deductive, cross-sectional, correlational method. applied and not experimental. Population: It will have a population that according to the records is 100. Because it is a small population, we will work with a census sample taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria. With validated instruments, two Likert-type measurement questionnaires will be used, with a reliability of 0.98 and 0.856. The data obtained from the sample will be tabulated, with which a database can be created in Excel that will be analyzed in the SPSS statistical program, which will provide descriptive results in tables and figures, and inferential results with the use of Spearman's Rho. to verify the study hypotheses and be able to establish the conclusions of the case.

Objetivo: Determinar como el apoyo familiar se relaciona con la capacidad de autocuidado de los pacientes con hipertensión arterial de la consulta externa de cardiología de un instituto Nacional, Lima 2024. Metodología: La investigación cuantitativa y un método hipotético-deductivo, transversal, correlacional, aplicada y no experimental. Población: Contara con una población que según los registros son de 100. Por ser una población pequeña se trabajará con una muestra censal tomando en cuenta los criterios de inclusión y exclusión Con instrumentos validados se utilizará dos cuestionarios de medición tipo Likert, con una confiabilidad de 0.98 y 0.856. Se tabularán los datos obtenidos de la muestra con lo cual se podrá realizar una base de datos en Excel que será analizada en el programa estadístico SPSS, de lo cual brindará resultados descriptivos en tablas y figuras, y resultados inferenciales con el uso de Rho de Spearman para comprobar las hipótesis de estudio y poder establecer las conclusiones del caso.
