Introduction: Biosafety knowledge and practices are of vital importance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, since we want to maintain the integrity of health personnel and also provide safety in patient care. Objective: To determine the relationship that exists between knowledge and practices on biosafety standards in the care of COVID-19 patients in the area of the Hospital Surgical Center Level IV 2022. Method: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional study. The census sample will consist of 57 nurses from the Surgical Center area of a level IV hospital. The instruments to be used are: Knowledge of biosafety standards survey for the variable 1 and an observation guide for variable 2; Those passed through the validation and reliable process to measure both variables. The collected data will be processed in SPSS 25 and the hypotheses will be tested using the statistical test of Spearman's correlation coefficient given the nature of the variables.
Resumen
El conocimiento y la práctica de bioseguridad cobran vital importancia durante el tiempo de la pandemia por COVID-19 puesto que se quiere mantener la integridad de los profesionales sanitarios y además brindar seguridad en la atención del paciente. Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y la práctica sobre normas de bioseguridad en la atención de pacientes por COVID-19 en el área de Centro Quirúrgico de un hospital de Nivel IV 2022. Método: Es un trabajo cuantitativo, aplicado, no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal. En cuanto a la muestra será censal y estará constituida por 57 enfermeras del área de Centro Quirúrgico del mencionado un hospital. Se usará la encuesta como técnica y como instrumentos: Conocimientos de normas de bioseguridad para la variable 1 y una guía de observación para la variable 2, los cuales fueron válidos y confiables, para medir ambas variables. Los datos recolectados serán procesados en SPSS 25 y las hipótesis se probarán usando la prueba estadística del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman dado la naturaleza de las variables
