Level of information and anxiety of the patient in the preoperative period in a specialized ophthalmology clinic, Lima - 2022

Abstract

The Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of preoperative information and the degree of anxiety of patients in the preoperative period in a specialized ophthalmological clinic, Lima 2022; The methodology was cross-sectional, observational and correlational, 82 patients were surveyed. The preoperative information level questionnaire and the Spielberger IDARE-S Anxiety Scale were applied and variables were associated with the Spearman coefficient. In conclusion, the level of preoperative information presented a significant statistical relationship with the degree of anxiety in these patients.

El Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de información preoperatoria y el grado de ansiedad de los pacientes en el periodo preoperatorio en una clínica oftalmológica especializada, Lima 2022; Metodología fue transversal, observacional y correlacional, se encuestó a 82 pacientes. Se aplicó el cuestionario de nivel de información preoperatoria y la Escala de ansiedad de Spielberger IDARE-S y se asociaron variables con el coeficiente de Spearman. en conclusión, el nivel de información preoperatoria presentó relación estadística significativa con el grado de ansiedad en dichos pacientes.
