Knowledge and practice on home care of the newborn in the mothers of the neonatology service of the Hospital Felipe Huaman Poma De Ayala De Puquio 2021

Abstract

The Pan American Health Organization states that birth is a great event for parents. According to the Spanish Society of Pediatrics, parents should be provided with the necessary and timely information about home care; such as the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, hygiene, sleep and/or rest, and recognition of warning signs. The objective of the study is: "To determine the level of knowledge and practices regarding home care of the newborn in mothers in the neonatal service of the Felipe Huamán Poma de Ayala Hospital in Puquio, 2021." Research method: The hypothetical deductive method will be used. The approach: quantitative. The type of study: proposed will be applied, since it will focus on providing solutions and recommendations. The design: non-experimental and cross-sectional. Population and sample: it will consist of 30 mothers whose children are newborns. Instruments: Two validated instruments will be applied, the first instrument to measure knowledge about home care will be used, the questionnaire and the second instrument to measure practice on home care, the observation guide will be used with its technique. Statistical analysis: The collected information will be entered into the Excel database and then into the SPSS version 26 program and the results will be presented in tables. Through charts or tables, in order to perform an analysis considering the theoretical framework.

La Organización Panamericana de la salud, refiere que el nacimiento es un acontecimiento grandioso para los progenitores. de acuerdo a la Sociedad Española de Pediatría, se debe brindar información necesaria y oportuna a los padres sobre los cuidados en casa; como beneficios de la lactancia materna exclusiva, higiene, sueño y/o descanso y reconocimientos de los signos de alarma. El estudio tiene como Objetivo: “Determinar el nivel de conocimientos y prácticas sobre los cuidados domiciliarios del recién nacido en las madres del servicio de neonatología del Hospital Felipe Huamán Poma de Ayala de Puquio, 2021”. Método de investigación: Se empleará el método hipotético deductivo. El enfoque: cuantitativo. El tipo de estudio: planteado será aplicada, ya que se enfocará a dar soluciones y recomendaciones. El diseño: no experimental y de corte transversal. Población y muestra: estará constituida por 30 madres cuyos hijos sean recién nacidos. Instrumentos: Se aplicará dos instrumentos validados el primer instrumento para medir el conocimiento sobre cuidados domiciliarios se utilizará el cuestionario y el segundo instrumento para medir práctica sobre los cuidados domiciliarios, se utilizará con su técnica la guía de observación. Análisis estadístico: Dicha información recopilada se ingresará a la base de datos del programa Excel y luego al programa SPSS versión 26 y se presentará los resultados en tablas. Través de cuadros o tablas, con la finalidad de realizar un análisis considerando el marco teórico.
