Knowledge about the management of the port-a-cath catheter and nursing practice of the pediatric service in an Essalud Hospital, Lima, 2024

Abstract

This research aims to: Determine how knowledge about the management of the PortA-Cath catheter is related to the nursing practice of the pediatric service of a hospital in Essalud, Lima, 2024. The methodology: this study will use the method hypothetical deductive, non-experimental design, quantitative-correlational cross-sectional approach. The population will be made up of 90 nurses who work in the pediatric service of a hospital in Essalud, Lima, 2024. Sampling: will be census since the entire population will be used, the independent variable: Knowledge about the Management of the Port Catheter - A- Cath consists of 3 dimensions: before the opening, during the opening and after the opening it consists of 25 questions and the dependent variable: Nursing practice consists of 3 dimensions: before the opening, during the opening and after it consists of (16 questions), likewise the background mentioned in the research will be taken into account for the discussion of the results.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar como el conocimiento sobre el manejo del catéter Port-A-Cath, se relaciona con la práctica de enfermería del servicio de pediatría de un hospital de Essalud, lima, 2024. La metodología: este estudio empleará el método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo -correlacional de corte transversal. La población estará conformada por 90 enfermeras que laboran en el servicio de pediatría de un hospital de Essalud, lima, 2024. El muestreo: será censal ya que se utilizará la totalidad de la población la variable independiente: Conocimiento Sobre el Manejo del Catéter Port -A- Cath consta de 3 dimensiones: antes de la apertura, durante la apertura y después de la apertura consta de 25 preguntas y la variable dependiente: Practica de enfermería consta de 3 dimensiones: antes de la apertura, durante la apertura y después consta de (16 preguntas), de igual manera los antecedentes mencionados en la investigación se tomarán en cuenta para la discusión de los resultados.
