Knowledge and practice on biosafety measures in the nursing professional of a surgical center of a hospital in Lima - 2023

Abstract

The objective of the research is "To determine the relationship between knowledge and practice on biosafety measures in surgical center nursing professionals." The hypothetical deductive method, quantitative approach, type of applied research, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level were used. A population of 70 nurses from the surgical center participated. Data collection will be through the survey as a technique and the questionnaire as an instrument. For the evaluation of the variable knowledge about biosafety measures, the questionnaire modified by Acevedo in 2020, reliable by Cronbach's Alpha 0.88, will be applied and for the variable biosafety practices, the checklist to measure practices on biosafety measures, modified by Vivanco in 2019, with a 0.804 Cronbach's Alpha. The data analysis will be carried out through statistical description and will show the results using Spearman's Rho test and the hypothesis raised in the research will be verified.

El objetivo de la investigación es “Determinar cuál es la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica sobre medidas de bioseguridad en el profesional de enfermería de centro quirúrgico”. Se utilizó el método hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo de investigación aplicado, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y nivel correlacional. Se contó con la participación de una población de 70 enfermeras del centro quirúrgico. La recolección de datos será por medio de la encuesta como técnica y el cuestionario como instrumento. Para la evaluación de la variable conocimientos sobre medidas de bioseguridad se aplicará el cuestionario modificado por Acevedo en el 2020, confiable por Alpha de Cronbach 0,88 y para la variable prácticas sobre bioseguridad, la lista de verificación para medir las prácticas sobre medidas de bioseguridad, modificado por Vivanco en el 2019, con un 0,804 de Alfa de Cronbach. El análisis de datos se realizará a través de la descripción estadística y mostrará los resultados mediante la prueba de Rho de Spearman y se comprobará la hipótesis planteada en la investigación.
