Family Functionality and Adherence to Hemodialysis Therapy in Patients of the Hermilio Valdizan Medrano Regional Hospital, Huánuco 2022

Abstract

The objective of the academic work is to determine the relationship between family functionality and adherence to hemodialysis therapy in patients at the Hermilio Valdizán Medrano Regional Hospital, Huánuco, 2022, among a group of 98 patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. The study will have a quantitative approach, as the variables will be measured; it will also be of an applied type, as it aims to solve practical problems with a limited generalization scope, allowing for an adequate identification of the study problem. The design will be non-experimental, descriptive-correlational, and cross-sectional, as the variables will not be intervened or manipulated and will be examined at a specific point in time. Regarding technique, a survey will be used, with the Family Functionality Test (FF-SIL) as the instrument, with results categorized as dysfunctional family, moderately functional family, and functional family. The Hemodialysis Treatment Adherence Evaluation Questionnaire, based on the WHO dimensions (Adapted from SMAN V.0.0), will be used, measured on a Likert scale: never, almost never, sometimes, almost always, and always. Ethical principles will be considered throughout the research development.

El objetivo del trabajo académico es Determinar la relación que se establece entre la funcionalidad familiar y la adherencia a la terapia de hemodiálisis en pacientes del Hospital Regional Hermilio Valdizán Medrano, Huánuco 2022. De un grupo de 98 pacientes con tratamiento de hemodiálisis. El estudio será de enfoque cuantitativo, porque las variables serán medidas; así mismo será de tipo aplicada porque estará orientada a resolver problemas prácticos con un margen limitado de generalización, permitiendo una adecuada identificación del problema de estudio y de diseño será no experimental, descriptivo – correlacional y de corte transversal: ya que no se intervendrán ni se manipulan las variables y se realizaran en un determinado tiempo. Con respecto a la técnica se empleara la encuesta y el instrumento es el Test de funcionalidad familiar FF – SIL, cuyo resultado será medido como familia disfuncional, familia moderadamente funcional y familia funcional, el Cuestionario de evaluación de adherencia al tratamiento de hemodiálisis, basado en las dimensiones de la OMS (Adaptado del SMAN V. 0.0), el cual será medido como escala tipo Likert de nunca, casi nunca, a veces, casi siempre y siempre; se tendrá en cuenta los principios éticos, en el desarrollo de la investigación.
