Results: The average age was 20 ± 3 years, that is, it ranges between 17 and 23 years, and the most frequent sex is female in 64.9% (100), and in 35.1% (54) they were males Students at first cycle they are present in 49.4% (76), and in the second cycle they are present in 50.6% (78). The level of knowledge among first-year nursing students at a university in Lima was found to be 85.7% (132) at a low level, and 14.3% (22) at a medium level; However, the most worrying thing was that no student reached a high level of knowledge.

Resultados: La edad promedio fue de 20 ± 3 años, es decir, oscila entre 17 y 23 años, y el sexo más frecuente es el femenino en el 64.9% (100), y en el 35.1% (54) eran varones Estudiantes al primer ciclo se presentan en 49.4% (76), y en el segundo ciclo está presente en 50.6% (78). El nivel de conocimiento entre los estudiantes del primer año de enfermería en una universidad de Lima se encontró que el 85.7% (132) tenía un nivel bajo, y el 14.3% (22) obtuvo un nivel medio; Sin embargo, lo más preocupante fue que ningún estudiante alcanzó un alto nivel de conocimiento.
