Stress and work performance of the nursing professional in the intensive care unit of a Hospital in Lima, 2022

Abstract

The study has a quantitative approach, a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design, and will include 80 nursing professionals working in the Intensive Care Unit as the population. The survey will be the technique to be used and the instruments to be used will be the questionnaires called Nursing Stress Scale - NSS and job performance, which are validated by expert judgments in a favorable way and have a reliability of 0.890 and 0.865 respectively. For data analysis, a database will be formulated in Excel, where the descriptive analysis will be developed using tables and graphs according to each variable and dimension, and for inferential analysis, Spearman's correlation coefficient will be applied to determine the relationship between variables.

El enfoque del estudio es cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, correlacional y transversal, donde se contará con 80 Enfermería que trabajan en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos como población. la encuesta será la técnica que se utilizará y los instrumentos que se emplearán serán los cuestionarios denominados Nursing Stress Scale – NSS y desempeño laboral, los cuales se encuentran validados por juicios de expertos de forma favorable y presentan una confiabilidad de 0.890 y 0.865 respectivamente. Para el análisis de datos se formulará una base de datos en Excel, donde el análisis descriptivo se desarrollará mediante tablas y gráficos según cada variable y dimensión, y para el análisis inferencial, se aplicará el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman para determinar la relación entre variables.
