Knowledge about pain management and practice of nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit of a MINSA hospital in Arequipa 2023.

Abstract

This research project will be carried out in the hospital setting, in which information will be collected regarding the care provided by nursing professionals in their daily actions, through the collection of information that will optimize knowledge and in turn improve the care practice of professional nursing staff in the management of pain of neonates hospitalized in the intensive care unit. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about pain management and the practice of nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study to be carried out is descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional, nonexperimental, with a quantitative approach. The sample will consist of 72 nursing professionals. The technique to be used is the survey and the instruments that will be used are the questionnaire and the observation guide, applied after signing the informed consent.

El presente proyecto de investigación, recopilará información referida con los cuidados que brindan los profesionales de enfermería al neonato en su actuar diario, esto permitirá optimizar el conocimiento y a su vez mejorar la práctica asistencial del personal profesional de enfermería en el manejo del dolor de los neonatos hospitalizados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. OBJETIVO: Es determinar la relación que existe del nivel de conocimientos sobre el manejo del dolor y la práctica de los enfermeros de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales. El estudio a realizar es de tipo descriptivo, retrospectivo, transversal, no experimental, con un enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra estará conformada por 72 profesionales de enfermería. La técnica a utilizar es la encuesta y los instrumentos que se emplearán son el cuestionario y la guía de observación, aplicados previa firma del consentimiento informado.
