Level of knowledge about biosafety and its relationship with the practice of the surgical center nursing professional of a national hospital Lima 2023

Abstract

General Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about biosecurity and its relationship with the practice of nursing professionals in the surgical center. Materials and Methods: This is a non-experimental, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional research study with a correlational level. The population will consist of 80 nurses working in the surgical center area of the hospital under study. A census sample will be used due to the small population size, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two instruments will be used to measure the variables, both validated and reliable according to Peruvian standards. Data processing and subsequent statistical analysis will be carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software, version 23. The data obtained will be entered after sequential coding. During this process, data cleaning will be conducted, excluding questionnaires with at least one missing response for the main variables. To determine the relationship between the study variables, logistic regression will be applied to test the formulated hypothesis. The results obtained will be presented in cross-tabulations, bar charts, and other visual formats. Statistical analysis to establish the relationship between variables will be conducted using Spearman’s statistical test.

Objetivo general: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre bioseguridad y su relación con la práctica del profesional de enfermería de centro quirúrgico. Materiales y Métodos: un trabajo de investigación no experimental observacional descriptico de corte transversal y de nivel correlacional, la población estará constituida por 80, enfermeras que laboran en el área del centro quirúrgico del Hospital objeto de estudio, se trabajará con una muestra censal por ser una población pequeña de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se utilizará 2 instrumento para medir las variables que tenían validez y confiabilidad en el estado peruano. El procesamiento de los datos y su posterior análisis estadístico se realizará a través de el software estadístico para ciencias sociales, programa SPSS versión 23, se ingresarán los datos obtenidos, previa codificación correlativa. Durante dicho proceso se tendrá en cuenta la depuración de datos, excluyendo aquellos cuestionarios que presentaron al menos una respuesta perdida de las variables principales. Para determinar la relación entre las variables de estudio se utilizará la regresión logística y poder contrastar la hipótesis formulada, los resultados obtenidos de dicho procesamiento serán presentadas en tablas de doble entrada y gráficos de barra entre otros. El análisis estadístico para establecer la relación entre las variables será a través de la prueba estadística de Spearman.
