Knowledge and practices on breast cancer prevention in women at the Pichanaki Support Hospital, 2023

Abstract

Its methodology is attributed to a basic prospective correlational level that used validated questionnaires in the evaluation of a sample made up of 287 female patients attending the gynecobstetrics service, highlighting the prevalence of a medium level of knowledge of the generalities and implications of breast cancer in 69.70% and 19.50% registered a low level, likewise, 65.90% of the patients registered a regular level of practices that counteract or stop the spread of cancer in the breast area and 32.10% choose to implement good care or protection measures for breast health by carrying out healthy routines that involve balanced nutrition, periodic physical exercise, appropriate rest, hydration and attendance at medical reviews, therefore, a positive association was identified between both variables, confirmed with a Spearman's Rho equal to 0.237 together with a p-value less than 5%. In conclusion, there is a positive correlation between the level of knowledge acquired and preventive practices against cancer located in the breasts in women in the age group of 20 to 50 years who attend the Pichanaki Support Hospital located in the Junín region.

Objetivo: Determinar las evidencias que existen en la literatura científica sobre las complicaciones obstétricas más frecuentes en gestantes adolescentes. Material y métodos: La revisión de publicaciones publicadas se conformó por 30 estudios divulgados en distintas bibliotecas virtuales como Scielo, Lilacs, Dianet y Pubmed, durante un intervalo no mayor de 5 años para obtener una muestra final de 22 revisiones bibliográficas. Resultados: Se determinó que existe evidencias de la literatura científica sobre la complicación obstétrica más frecuente de la gestante adolescente donde fue la Hipertensión Arterial ahí encontramos a la preeclampsia, seguida de la anemia que fue la presencia de una anemia leve. Y en relación a la infección del tracto urinario fue la presencia de cistitis en gestantes adolescentes. Conclusiones: Se determinó que existe evidencias de la literatura científica sobre la complicación más frecuente de la gestante adolescente fue la hipertensión arterial, seguida de la anemia y las infecciones de tracto urinario.
