Social and reproductive risk factors in women diagnosed with cervical cancer

Abstract

Objective: Determine the social and reproductive risk factors in published studies diagnosed with cervical cancer. The sample was 29 articles published in the period from 2017 to 2022. The Grade system was used to determine the recommendation strength of each article. Results: It was found that 28% of the studies used a case-control type methodology, 66% of the studies reviewed were of high level, the social risk factors for cervical cancer, according to scientific evidence were 26 % were aged <35 years, 22% had incomplete studies, 22% had smoking habits, 17% were unaware of the disease, 9% were afraid of healthcare personnel and 4% were due to a family history of cancer. Conclusions: The scientific evidence reviewed was of a high level.

Se presenta un caso clínico de una segundigesta 35 años de edad, con 36 semanas de edad gestacional con diagnóstico de acretismo placentario variedad percreta con infiltración a la pared vesical; y con antecedente de una cesárea anterior, hace 6 años. Los factores de riesgo presentes fueron: edad materna avanzada, multiparidad y cesárea previa. La gestante fue sometida a cesárea electiva la cual se complica en el intraoperatorio con hemorragia severa mayor de 2000 ml por presentar placenta percreta con infiltración trofoblástica hacia la pared de la vejiga, la cual obligó a toma de decisión inmediata para realizar histerectomía total y sutura vesical. Se obtuvo un recién nacido vivo con puntuación de Apgar normal y peso adecuado para la edad gestacional. Paciente evoluciona favorablemente con sonda Foley permeable y cobertura de antibioticoterapia. Sale de alta hospitalaria al 14° día del postoperatorio.
