Violence exerted by the external user and work stress in nurses during the pandemic in an emergency service Callao, 2021

Abstract

Currently, the nursing professional who remains on the front line during the COVID 19 pandemic, a disease that afflicts the population worldwide, became the main source of primary care, in centers where the infrastructure is inadequate, notoriety in the lack of nursing professionals and above all the lack of knowledge of how to deal with a new disease, as well as the fear of becoming infected, however the nurse overcame these difficulties by providing quality and warm care to the user, however, many of the users, when finding themselves in the uncertainty of not seeing improvement in their health status, led them to submit to violence towards the nursing staff who subsequently became stressed and it would affect their physical and mental health. The study aims to determine the relationship between violence exerted by the external user and work-related stress in nurses during the pandemic in the emergency area of a hospital in Callao, 2021. This research uses the hypothetical deductive method, a basic type study, cross-sectional, quantitative approach, non-experimental design, population and sample made up of 70 graduates who work in the emergency environment of a hospital in Callao, during the COVID 19 pandemic. The survey technique is used. The variable violence exerted by the external user will be measured using the questionnaire modified by Quino 2019, the instrument is composed of 30 items and with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.81, likewise to estimate the work stress of the nursing staff, the instrument modified by Cazal 2017 will be used, which is identified with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.98, data that will be in the Excel program, to then carry out the statistical analysis in the IBM Spss 21 program. The contrast of the results will be carried out using the Chi square test and to be presented in tables and figures.

En la actualidad el profesional enfermero que permanece en primera línea durante la pandemia por COVID 19 enfermedad que aflige a la población a nivel mundial, se convirtió en la principal fuente de atención primaria, en centros donde la infraestructura es inadecuada, notoriedad en carencia de Enfermería y sobre todo el desconocimiento del cómo afrontar una enfermedad nueva, así como el temor a contagiarse, sin embargo el enfermero supero estas dificultades brindando una atención de calidad y con calidez al usuario, no obstante muchos de los usuarios al encontrarse en la incertidumbre de no ver mejoría en el estado de salud los llevo a someter violencia ante el personal de enfermería quienes posteriormente se estresan y afectaría su salud física y mental. El estudio posee por objetivo determinar la relación entre la violencia ejercida por el usuario externo y el estrés laboral en enfermeros durante la pandemia en el área de emergencias de un hospital del Callao, 2021 la presente investigación emplea el método hipotético deductivo, estudio de tipo básico, corte transversal, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, población y muestra constituida por 70 licenciados que se desempeñan en el ambiente de emergencias de un hospital en el Callao, durante la pandemia por COVID 19. Se emplea la técnica de la encuesta. La variable violencia ejercida por el usuario externo se medirá mediante el cuestionario modificado por Quino 2019, el instrumento está compuesta por 30 Ítems y con un alfa de Crombach de 0,81, así mismo para estimar el estrés laboral del personal de enfermería se utilizará el instrumento modificado por Cazal 2017, que se identifica con un alfa de Crombach de 0,98, datos que serán en el programa Excel, para luego realizar el análisis estadístico en el programa IBM Spss 21. la contrastación de los resultados se realizará mediante la prueba de Chi cuadrado y para ser presentados en tablas y figuras.
