Level of knowledge and its relationship with care of nursing in the central venous catheter and practice in patients of the intensive care unit – hospital II Luis Heysen Inchaustegui Chiclayo 2023

Abstract

The level of knowledge and its relationship with Nursing care in the central venous catheter, is based primarily on avoiding its exposure to infectious agents, through the practice of biosafety protocols such as hand washing, use of protection measures, disinfection with antiseptics and avoid manipulation of the central venous catheter. The purpose of the analysis is to evaluate the degree of knowledge and its relationship with the practice of central venous catheter care in patients of the Intensive Care Unit of the Luis Heysen Inchaustegui Hospital, Chiclayo, 2023. A quantitative, observational research will be used. The sample will be the Nursing Health professionals who work in the Intensive Care Unit of the city of Chiclayo. It will be used as technique and instrument; an interview and questionnaire carried out to the personnel where knowledge will be measured using observation as an instrument. Conclusions: The present investigation will provide the necessary and updated information to the Luis Heysen Inchaustegui Hospital regarding the "Level of knowledge and its relationship with nursing care in the central venous catheter and the practice in the patients of the Intensive Care Unit".

El grado de conocimiento y el vínculo con los cuidados de Enfermería en pacientes con catéter venoso central, está basado primordialmente en evitar el riesgo con agentes infecciosos, mediante la práctica de protocolos basados en la bioseguridad como son el lavado higiénico de manos, uso de medidas de protección, desinfección con antisépticos y evitar el manejo del catéter venoso central. El análisis tiene como objetivo evaluar el grado de conocimiento y su vínculo con la práctica del cuidado del catéter venoso central en pacientes de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Se empleará una investigación de tipo cuantitativo, observacional. La muestra serán los profesionales de Salud de Enfermería que trabajan en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de la ciudad de Chiclayo. Se utilizará como técnica e instrumento; una entrevista y cuestionario realizado al personal donde será medido el conocimiento utilizando como instrumento la observación. Los análisis de datos se importarán al programa estratificado de IBM SPSS STATISTICS versión 27, los resultados se presentarán cualitativamente en tablas. Asi mismo se pueden relacionar ambas variables según la prueba Pearson la cual calcula el proceso de estas dos variables basado en evidencia con una probabilidad menor o igual al 5% (p ≤ 0.05)
