Factors associated with non-compliance with the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age at the Churin Health Center, Oyon 2023

Abstract

The aim of the research was4 to determine4 the factors associated4 with non-compliance4 with4 the vaccination4 schedule4 in mothers4 of children under4 5 years4 of age at the Churin Health Centre, Oyón, 2023. The study will be carried out using the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative, basic, non-experimental design and correlational approach. The population will be 30 mothers with children under 5 years of age attending the Health Centre and the sample will be a census. The instruments used will be a questionnaire for factors associated with noncompliance created by Huamán, and the observation guide for measuring vaccination compliance, by Salazar, both of which are valid and reliable. The evaluation of the data will be carried out using SPSS version 27 software. In this environment, detailed exploration of the data will be carried out through tables and graphical representations as part of the descriptive analysis. It is also planned to apply the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to carry out the inferential analysis, opting for Spearman's Rho test if the data do not follow a normal distribution, and Pearson's correlation test otherwise.

La investigación se trabajó con la finalidad de determinar los factores asociados al incumplimiento del esquema de vacunación en madres de niños menores de 5 años del Centro de Salud Churin, Oyón, 2023. El estudio se realizará bajo el método hipotético – deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, diseño no experimental4 y de nivel4 correlacional. La población será de 72 madres con hijos menores de 5 años atendidos en el Centro de Salud y la muestra será censal. Se usará como4 instrumento un cuestionario para los factores asociados al incumplimiento creado por Huamán, y la guía de observación para medir el cumplimiento vacunación, del autor de Salazar, los cuales cuentan con validez y confiabilidad. La evaluación de los datos se llevará a cabo utilizando el software SPSS versión 27. En este entorno, se llevará a cabo la exploración detallada de los datos a través de tablas y representaciones gráficas como parte del análisis descriptivo. Asimismo, se tiene previsto la aplicación de la prueba de Kolmogorov-Smirnov para llevar a cabo el análisis inferencial, optando por la prueba de Rho de Spearman si los datos no siguen una distribución normal, y la prueba de correlación de Pearson en caso contrario.
