Knowledge about aspiration of secretions and nursing practice in intubated patients in the intensive care unit of the Huacho Regional Hospital 2023

Abstract

The secretion aspiration procedure is very important in all intubated patients who are hospitalized in the intensive care unit. It is a fundamental piece to know the knowledge and practices during the hospital stay to be able to perform it accurately and reliably. OBJECTIVE: Determine the relationship between the knowledge and practices of the nursing staff in each of the patients intubated in the intensive care unit of the Huacho Regional Hospital. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The research will be developed with a quantitative approach, hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental, and correlational design, the population to be studied is made up of 89 nurses. A survey will be used to measure the level of knowledge and the observation guide will be used to measure the nurse's practices on aspiration of secretions in intubated patients, the analysis of information will be presented with tables and graphs, it will be applied with Spearman's Rho coefficient with the objective of determining the relationship between the study variables.

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y las practicas sobre aspiración de secreciones del personal de enfermería en cada uno de los pacientes intubados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos del Hospital regional de Huacho. La investigación se desarrollará con un enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, y correlacional, la población a estudiar está constituida por 89 enfermeras Se emplearán una encuesta para medir el nivel de conocimientos y la guía de observación para medirá la práctica de la enfermera el análisis de información se presentará con cuadros y gráficos, se aplicará con el coeficiente Rho de Spearman con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre las variables de estudio.
