Coping strategy and quality of life in patients with cervical cancer receiving chemotherapy, Specialized Cancer Institute, Lima 2022

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship of coping strategies in the quality of life of patients with cervical cancer receiving chemotherapy at the Specialized Cancer Institute 2022. Population: Composed of 80 patients diagnosed with cervical cancer treated at the Specialized Cancer Institute, between June 2022 and December 2022.Sample: It will be made up of the entire population, that is, 80 people. Methodological design: Applied, hypothetical deductive, quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional, correlational research. The technique that will be used to collect the information is the survey. The instrument for the evaluation of the variable "Coping Strategies", a questionnaire elaborated by Apaza and Alejandro in the year 2020 in Lima, reliable with Cronbach's Alpha obtaining values of 0.872 and for the evaluation of the variable "Quality of Life" will be used a questionnaire adapted by Martínez will be used in 2016 in Lima, reliable with Cronbach's Alpha 0.80. Data processing and analysis: Descriptive statistics will be used to prepare the frequency tables and graphs, in the case of inferential statistics, the Spearman's Rho statistical test will be connected, which will allow us to verify the hypotheses that we have raised.

Determinar la relación de las estrategias de afrontamiento y la calidad de vida de pacientes con cáncer de cuello uterino que reciben quimioterapia en el Instituto Especializado del cáncer 2022. Población: Compuesta por 80 pacientes con diagnóstico de cáncer de cuello uterino atendidas en el Instituto Especializado del Cáncer, entre junio y diciembre 2022. Muestra: Estará conformado por la totalidad de la población es decir 80 personas. Diseño metodológico: Investigación aplicada, hipotética-deductiva, cuantitativa, descriptiva y transversal, correlacional. La técnica que se empleará para recoger información es la encuesta. El instrumento para la evaluación de la variable “Estrategias de afrontamiento”, se usará un cuestionario elaborado por Apaza y Alejandro en el año 2020 en Lima, confiable con Alpha de Cronbach obteniendo valores de 0,872 y para la evaluación de la variable “Calidad de Vida”, se usará un cuestionario adaptado por Martínez en el año 2016 en Lima, confiable con Alpha de Cronbach 0,80. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Se utilizará estadística descriptiva para elaborar de las tablas de frecuencia y gráficas, en caso de la estadística inferencial se utilizará la prueba estadística de Rho de Spearman que nos permitirá realizar la comprobación de las hipótesis.
