Level of knowledge and attitude of the nurse regarding the management of pain in premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit

Abstract

This research aims To Determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and attitude of the nurse about the management of pain in premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital, Lima 2023.The methodology: hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, descriptive, applied, correlational, cross-sectional; The sample will be made up of 80 nurses. The technique that will be used for data collection will be the survey and the questionnaire "Level of knowledge about neonatal pain management" adapted by Quezada and the scale "Attitude of the nurse facing neonatal pain, which are already validated; both instruments have a high level of statistical reliability (0.75 in Cronbach's alpha), for the collection of information it will last approximately 30 minutes, for each participant, for the analysis and interpretation tables, graphs will be used . For the contrasting of hypotheses, the Spearman Test will be used as a statistical estimate, with a confidence level of 95%, an error of 5%, which will be reflected in the contingency table of both variables.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitud de la enfermera sobre el manejo del dolor en prematuros de la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatal de un hospital, Lima 2023. La metodología: metodo hipotetico deductivo, diseño no experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, aplicada, correlacional, de corte transversal; la muestra estará constituida por 80 enfermeros(as), La técnica que se utilizará para la recolección de datos, será la encuesta y se aplicará el cuestionario “Nivel de conocimiento sobre el manejo del dolor neonatal” adaptado por Quezada y la escala “Actitud de la enfermera frente al dolor neonatal, los cuales ya están validados; ambos instrumentos tienen un alto nivel de confiabilidad (de 0.75 en el alfa de Cronbach ) estadística, para la recolección de la información se tendrá una duración aproximada de 30 minutos, para cada participante, para el análisis e interpretación se harán uso de tablas, gráficos. Para la contrastación de hipótesis, se utilizará cómo estimación estadística la Prueba de Spearman, con un nivel de confianza del 95%, un error del 5%, el cual será plasmado en la tabla de contingencia de ambas variables
