Knowledge and practices on prevention and care of pressure injuries in nurses of the intensive care unit of a hospital in Chincha, 2023

Abstract

The objective of this work is to determine the relationship between knowledge and practices on prevention and care of pressure injuries in nurses of the topic of non-medical procedures of the Chincha 2023. Methodologically, the investigation was developed under a quantitative approach, being of a applied type, the design was non -experimental, correlation and cross - section, in the case of the sample it was made up of 80 nurses of a Chincha hospital, using a census sampling and Using as questionnaire instruments one for the variable knowledge and practices about prevention and another for the care of pressure injuries. A database will be used in Microsoft Excel to collect sample data and items, organized by dimensions, for subsequent statistical analysis. For this, the SPSS Statistical Program will be used version 26.0, with the aim of testing the hypotheses raised through the Spearman RHO correlation test, so that the research objectives can be achieved.

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo determinarla relación entre los conocimientos y practicas sobre prevención y los cuidados de lesiones por presión (LPP) en enfermeros de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Chincha, 2023. Metodológicamente la investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, siendo de tipo aplicado, el diseño fue no experimental, nivel correlación y corte transversal, en el caso de la muestra esta estuvo conformada por 80 enfermeras de un hospital de chincha, empleándose un muestreo censal y utilizándose como instrumentos cuestionarios uno para la variable conocimientos y m sobre prevención y otro para la los cuidados de lesiones por presión. Se utilizará una base de datos en Microsoft Excel para recopilar los datos de la muestra y los ítems, organizados por dimensiones, para su posterior análisis estadístico. Para esto, se empleará el programa estadístico SPSS versión 26.0, con el objetivo de probar las hipótesis planteadas a través de la prueba de correlación Rho de Spearman, de manera que se pueda alcanzar los objetivos de investigación.
