Psychological well-being and quality of life in users with schizophrenia treated at the Nuevo Puerto Community Mental Health Center, Nuevo Chimbote 2022.

Abstract

Objective: "To determine the relationship between psychological well-being and quality of life of users with schizophrenia." Population: 103 patients with schizophrenia who attend the Nuevo Puerto Community Mental Health Center. Sample: It will be 82 people, simple random probabilistic sampling will be applied. Methodological design: The research will be applied, with a hypothetical-deductive, descriptive and correlational method, with a non-experimental design. Instruments: To evaluate the variable "Psychological Well-being", the RYFF scale questionnaire will be applied in 2006, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha of 0.83 and to evaluate the variable "Quality of Life" the WHOQOL - BREF scale questionnaire will be applied, reliable through a global Cronbach's Alpha greater than 0.70. The data collection technique will be the survey. Data processing and analysis: SPSS and Microsoft Excel programs will be used, where tabulation will be performed to provide responses based on descriptive statistics, which will be expressed in frequency tables and diagrams, which will present the results using inferential statistics by applying the Spearman Rho test to verify the hypothesis raised in the study.

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación que existe entre el bienestar psicológico y calidad de vida de los usuarios con esquizofrenia”. Población: 103 pacientes con esquizofrenia que acuden Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario Nuevo Puerto. Muestra: Será de 82 personas, se aplicará el muestreo es probabilístico aleatorio simple. Diseño metodológico: la investigación será de tipo aplicada, con método hipotético-deductivo, descriptivo y correlacional, de diseño no experimental. Instrumentos: para evaluar la variable “Bienestar Psicológico”, se aplicará el cuestionario de la escala de RYFF en el 2006, confiable mediante Alpha de Cronbach de 0,83 y para evaluar la variable “Calidad de Vida” se aplicará el cuestionario de la escala WHOQOL – BREF confiable mediante Alpha de Cronbach global mayor a 0.70. Se aplicará la técnica de recolección de datos, la encuesta. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: se utilizará los programas SPSS y Microsoft Excel, donde se realizará la tabulación para dar respuesta en base a la estadística descriptiva, que será expresadas en tablas de frecuencias y diagramas, que presentará los resultados utilizando estadística inferencial mediante la aplicación de la prueba Rho de Spearman para comprobar la hipótesis planteada en el estudio.
