Knowledge and practices on neonatal oxygen therapy among nurses who work in the neonatal intensive care service of a national institute in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The present research project will have as general objective: To determine the relationship that exists between knowledge and practices on oxygen therapy in neonates in nurses who work in the neonatal intensive care service of a national institute in Lima, 2023. The study population It will be made up of 80 nurses who work in the neonatal intensive care service. The study method used is hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied with a nonexperimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level. The technique for variable 1 will be the survey; It is considered in the first instance as a data collection technique through the interrogation of the subjects. In the case of variable 2, the observation technique will be used, which is a fundamental technique of any research process. The researcher relies on it to obtain the greatest amount of data from reality. The analysis results Once the project has been approved by the ethics committee of the postgraduate unit of the Norbert Wiener University, the cover letter will be requested. Then, the permit will be requested by means of a request addressed to the director of the investigated institution. The application of the instruments will be carried out considering the selection criteria proposed through the Kuder Richarson.

objetivo general: Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y las prácticas sobre oxigenoterapia en neonatos en las enfermeras que laboran en el servicio de cuidados intensivos neonatal de un instituto nacional de lima, 2023. La población de estudio estará conformada por 80 enfermeros que ejercen en el servicio de cuidados intensivos neonatales. El método de estudio utilizado es hipotético deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada con diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y de nivel correlacional. La técnica para la variable 1 será la encuesta; se considera en primera instancia como una técnica de recogida de datos a través de la interrogación de los sujetos. En el caso de la variable 2 se utilizará la técnica de observación, que es técnica fundamental de todo proceso de investigación. En ella se apoya el investigador para obtener el mayor número de datos de la realidad. Análisis de resultados Una vez aprobado el proyecto por el comité de ética de la unidad de posgrado de la universidad Norbert Wiener, se solicitará la carta de presentación. Luego se procederá a solicitar el permiso mediante una solicitud dirigida al director de la institución investigada. La aplicación de los instrumentos se efectuará considerando los criterios de selección planteados a través del Kuder Richarson.
