Knowledge and practice of nurses on aspiration of secretions in patients with mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit of the national hospital Alberto Sabogal Sologuren. Essalud, Callao, 2022

Abstract

The present research work had as general objective; to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of nurses on the aspiration of secretions in patients with mechanical ventilation in the intensive care units of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, EsSalud. By 2022, the study population will be made up of 40 nurses (100%) who work in intensive care-intermediate care units. The study method used is hypothetical deductive of the applied type of non-experimental cross-sectional design. For the collection of data, the survey and observation will be used as a technique; as instruments the questionnaire (it will measure knowledge) and the Observation Guide (it will measure practice) both validated by expert judgment and Cronbach's Alpha obtaining as a result for knowledge 0.949 showing reliability of the instrument; In addition, the secretion aspiration guide checklist prepared by the nursing unit of the Children's Health Institute GP-05/INSNSB/UE-V.02. The pertinent statistical tests will be applied to confirm the hypotheses. For the processing and subsequent analysis of the data obtained in the study, the latest version of the SSPS Statistic program and the Microsoft Excel software will be used to present the statistical tables.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y la práctica de las enfermeras(os) sobre la aspiración de secreciones en pacientes con ventilación mecánica de las unidades de cuidados intensivos del Hospital Nacional Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, EsSalud. 2022. Material y método: La investigación responde al método hipotético deductivo, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicativo de diseño correlacional descriptivo, la población objeto de estudio hace un total de 40 enfermeras que laboran en las unidades de cuidados intensivos – cuidados intermedios del hospital Nacional Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, EsSalud. Se utilizará la técnica de la encuesta y la observación, como instrumento el cuestionario denominado conocimientos sobre aspiración de secreciones y la guía de observación lista de chequeo de guía para la aspiración de secreciones por TET con técnica cerrada,

Fue sometió a juicio de expertos por Cabello Blas Lucia (2017) obteniendo una validez del 85% y confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de Crombach 0.949 el que indicó alta confiabilidad; el segundo instrumento fue elaborado por la unidad de enfermería del instituto de Salud del Niño, código GP-05/INSN-SB/UE-V.02; revisado por la unidad de gestión de calidad del INSN, validado y aprobado según RD Nª 000103-2021-DG-INSNSB. El procesamiento de datos se realizará haciendo uso del paquete estadístico para las ciencias sociales (SPSS) versión 22.0, asimismo se utilizara aplicativo Microsoft Excel en el vaciado de datos de acuerdo a una matriz estructurada como base de datos en relación al instrumento de medición.
