Level of knowledge and compliance with the vaccination schedule among mothers of children under 5 years of age - Lima-2022

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance with the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age, Special Projects Health Center – San Juan de Lurigancho-Lima–2022; The work has a quantitative approach, basic type, correlational level and non-experimental design with a population and sample of 100 mothers of children under 5 years of age, Special Projects Health Center – San Juan de Lurigancho-Lima–2022, and the use of questionnaires, from which it was obtained that 22.0% present a low level in the variable level of knowledge, 50.0% a medium level and 28.0% a high level, on the other hand 47.0% do not comply with the vaccination schedule and 53.0% comply with the vaccination schedule, therefore it is concluded that the variable level of knowledge is directly and positively related to the variable compliance with the vaccination schedule according to the correlation Spearman's test of 0.706 represented this result as moderate with a statistical significance of p=0.000 being less than 0.01.

Objetivo: El estudio tiene el propósito de determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento y el cumplimiento del esquema de vacunación en madres de niños menores de 5 años, Centro de Salud Proyectos Especiales – San Juan de Lurigancho-Lima–2022; el trabajo es de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, nivel correlacional y de diseño no experimental con una población y muestra de 100 madres de niños menores de 5 años, Centro de Salud Proyectos Especiales – San Juan de Lurigancho-Lima–2022, y el uso de cuestionarios, de donde se obtuvo que el 22.0% presentan en la variable nivel de conocimiento un nivel bajo, el 50.0% un nivel medio y el 28.0% un nivel alto, por otro lado el 47.0% no cumple con el esquema de vacunación y el 53.0% cumple con el esquema de vacunación, por lo que se concluye que la variable nivel de conocimiento está relacionada de manera directa y positiva con la variable cumplimiento del esquema de vacunación según la correlación de Spearman de 0.706 representado este resultado como moderado con una significancia estadística de p=0.000 siendo menor que el 0.01.
