Quality of life and degree of dependency of the elderly who attend a Private Clinic in the district of Santiago De Surco - Lima, 2022

Abstract

Quality of life in older adults is about contributing to an optimal state of health, considering the evolutionary process of aging. Since older adults experience physical, emotional, and cognitive changes, it is important to assess their functionality and determine whether their evolutionary process remains active. Therefore, the aim of this study is to relate two key aspects: autonomy (functionality) and quality of life in older adults.

Calidad de vida en el adulto mayor es contribuir a tener un óptimo estado de salud teniendo en cuenta el proceso evolutivo del envejecimiento. Puesto que los adultos mayores experimentas cambios a nivel físico, emocional y cognitivo por ende es importante evaluar la funcionalidad y evaluar e identificar si su proceso evolutivo se encuentra activo. Por eso el presente estudio tiene como objetivo relacionar dos puntos importantes la autonomía (funcionabilidad) y la calidad de vida en el adulto mayor.
