Level of knowledge about self-care and its relationship with the quality of life of users of the oncology service of a hospital in Lima

Abstract

The objective of the study is to “Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about self-care and the quality of life of users undergoing chemotherapy treatment in the oncology service of a hospital in Lima, 2022.” The type applied is applied, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design, 82 people from the oncology service made up the sample, also, since it is a small population for the study, the sample will be census, on the other hand, two will be used validated instruments such as the questionnaire. Likewise, once the information has been collected, the information will be processed with the Microsoft Excel statistical program and then with SPSS version 26. The non-parametric chi square test will be used to find the hypothesis test that in turn will look for the relationship between the variables. of studies and finally the findings will be shown in graphs and tables.

El estudio tiene como objetivo “Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre autocuidado con la calidad de vida de los usuarios con tratamiento de quimioterapia en el servicio de oncología de un hospital de Lima, 2022”. El tipo aplicada es aplicada, con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional, 82 personas del servicio de oncología conformaron la muestra, asimismo, por ser una población pequeña para el estudio la muestra será censal, por otro lado, se utilizarán dos instrumentos validados como el cuestionario. Asimismo, una vez recolectada la información se procederá a procesar la información con el programa estadístico Microsoft Excel y luego al SPSS versión 26. Se utilizará la prueba no paramétrica chi cuadrado para hallar la prueba de hipótesis que a su vez buscara la relación entre las variables de estudios y finalmente los hallazgos se mostraran gráficos y tablas.
