Knowledge and practices on the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation, nursing professional, intensive care unit public hospitals Chincha, 2023

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices on the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation that the nursing professional has in the Intensive Care Unit Public Hospital of Chincha 2023. It is a non-experimental type of investigation, applied, quantitative, with correlational and cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 92 nursing graduates, the survey and observation as a training technique with proven and reliable instruments. The collected information will be transferred to the Excel data matrix to the statistical program IBM SPSS STATISTICS Version 25. Inferential statistics with non-parametric distributions will be worked on using Kendall's tau c test, which measures the relationship between two variables; considering that there is sufficient evidence of statistical significance if the probability of error is less than or equal to 5% (p≤0.05)

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y prácticas sobre prevención de neumonía asociada a ventilación mecánica que tiene el profesional de enfermería en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Hospital Público de Chincha 2023. Es una investigación de tipo no experimental, aplicada, cuantitativa, con diseño correlacional y transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 92 licenciados en enfermería, la encuesta y la observación como técnica de entrenamiento con instrumentos probados y confiables. La información recopilada se transferirá a la matriz de datos de Excel al programa estadístico IBM SPSS STATISTICS Versión 25. Se trabajará la estadística inferencial con distribuciones no paramétricas utilizando la prueba tau c de Kendall, que mide la relación entre dos variables; considerando que existe suficiente evidencia de significancia estadística si la probabilidad de error es menor o igual al 5% (p≤0.05).
