Perception of the quality of care and level of satisfaction of relatives of patients in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima – 2023

Abstract

Objective: The objective of this research to determine the relationship between the perception of quality of care and the level of satisfaction of family members of patients in the intensive care unit of a hospital in the city of Lima in 2023. Methodology: The study method to be used will be quantitative, applied type of research, with non-experimental design, correlational level and cross-sectional; the study population consisted of 100 relatives of patients in the intensive care unit; the technique to be used will be the survey and the instrument to be used will be the questionnaire; one to measure the variable quality of nursing care and the other to measure the satisfaction of the relatives. Both instruments were validated and have an adequate coefficient to be used in this work. The data that will be collected will be processed through SPSS version 25 and the results will be expressed in tables and figures. To determine the relationship between the variables, the Spearman's Rho Correlation Test will be applied.

Metodología: El método de estudio que se empleará será el cuantitativo, tipo de investigación aplicado, con diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional y corte transversal; la población de estudio estuvo conformado por 100 familiares de pacientes que se encuentran en la unidad de cuidados intensivos; la técnica a emplear será la encuesta y el instrumento a utilizar será el cuestionario; uno para medir la variable calidad de la atención de enfermería y otro para medir la satisfacción de los familiares. Ambos instrumentos fueron validados y poseen un coeficiente adecuado para ser usado en este trabajo. Los datos que serán recolectados se procesarán a través de la versión 25 del SPSS y cuyos resultados serán expresados en tablas y figuras. Para determinar la relación entre las variables se realizará por medio de la aplicación de la Prueba de Correlación Rho de Spearman.
