Attitudes towards scientific research and its relationship with the disposition for the preparation of theses in nursing students of a private university of Lima, 2023

Abstract

With the general objective of analyzing the relationship between the attitude towards scientific research and the willingness to write theses in nursing students of the x cycle, Norbert Wiener University, 2023. The research has a quantitative approach, correlational scope, the design of the research is non-experimental, cross-sectional, 100 students of the tenth cycle of the Norbert Wiener University have been considered. The instrument consisted of the Attitudes towards research questionnaire and the Scale of willingness to carry out a thesis using the survey technique. The distribution of sociodemographic frequencies of the age of the students indicates that the female sex is the majority in this study with 89% and the male sex is 11%. The attitude towards research with the disposition to carry out a thesis is that there is a moderately favorable attitude with a medium disposition to elaborate thesis in 81%. The attitude in its affective dimension with the willingness to write the thesis is that the attitude is favorable with average willingness to write the thesis in 54%. The attitude in its behavioral dimension with the willingness to write a thesis is that the attitude is moderately favorable with a half willingness to write a thesis in 50%. The attitude in its cognitive dimension with the willingness to prepare thesis is that the attitude is moderately favorable with a medium willingness to prepare thesis in 62%. All outcomes were measured by crosstabulation and Spearman's Rho correlation. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the attitude towards research with the willingness to write thesis.

Con el objetivo general de analizar la relación que existe entre la actitud hacia la investigación científica con la disposición para la elaboración de tesis en estudiantes de enfermería del x ciclo, Universidad Norbert Wiener, 2023. La investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, alcance correlacional, el diseño de la investigación es no experimental de corte transversal, se ha considerado 100 estudiantes del décimo ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener. El instrumento estuvo compuesto por el cuestionario de Actitudes hacia la investigación y la Escala de disposición para la realización de una tesis mediante la técnica de la encuesta. La distribución de frecuencias sociodemográficas de la edad de los estudiantes nos indica que el sexo femenino son la mayoría en este estudio con el 89% y masculino son el 11%. La actitud hacia la investigación con la disposición para realizar una tesis se tiene que existe una actitud medianamente favorable con media disposición para elaborar tesis en 81%. La actitud en su dimensión afectiva con la disposición de elaboración de tesis se tiene que la actitud es favorable con media disposición para la elaboración de tesis en 54%. La actitud en su dimensión conductual con la disposición de elaboración de tesis se tiene que la actitud es medianamente favorable con media disposición para la elaboración de tesis en 50%. La actitud en su dimensión cognitiva con la disposición de elaboración de tesis se tiene que la actitud es medianamente favorable con media disposición para la elaboración de tesis en 62%. Todos los resultados se midieron mediante la relación de tablas cruzadas y mediante la correlación de Rho de Spearman. Se concluye que existe relación significativa entre la actitud hacia la investigación con la disposición para elaborar tesis.
