Self-care and quality of life of patients with kidney failure in a hospital in Lima 2023

Abstract

The patient with kidney disease is a patient who is in constant treatment for life, so it is very important to constantly measure self-care, an essential component for the patient to have the motivation and firmness to continue their treatment and not harm their health. This research has the objective of determining the relationship between self-care and the quality of life of the patient who presents renal failure, through a quantitative methodology with an observational design, of an applied type working with 110 patients as a sample quantity, through the use of validated and reliable data collection tools, which will be applied in an average of 25 minutes per participant, information that will be statistically processed by Spss 25.0 which will provide tables and graphs to present the results as well as inferential tests such as Rho of Spearman to be able to verify the hypotheses raised and to be able to establish the conclusions of the case with 95% confidence.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el autocuidado y la calidad de vida del paciente con insuficiencia renal en un hospital de Lima, 2023. Material y método: La investigación responde al método hipotético-deductivo y analítico, tiene enfoque cuantitativa con un diseño observacional, de tipo aplicada. La población consta de 154 pacientes que presentan insuficiencia renal que asisten su tratamiento en un hospital de Lima. La muestra de estudio serán 110 pacientes, el muestreo es el probabilístico aleatorio simple a través del uso de herramientas de recolección de datos validados y confiables, los cuales serán aplicados en un promedio de 25 minutos por participante, información que será procesada estadísticamente por el Spss 25.0 el cual brindará tablas y gráficos para poder presentar los resultados además de pruebas inferenciales como Rho de Spearman para poder comprobar las hipótesis planteadas y poder establecer las conclusiones del caso con un 95% de confianza.
