Quality of life in patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis at San Juan Masías Clinic, Lima - 2019

Abstract

Objective: Determine the level of quality of life of patients with CKD on hemodialysis at the San Juan Masías Clinic. Materials and methods: The methodology is quantitative, the design is non-experimental, cross-sectional and non-correlational, we worked with the total population, 120 patients with a diagnosis of Chronic Kidney Failure on hemodialysis participated. The technique was the survey and the instrument was the “Quality of life test in patients on hemodialysis”. Results: It was possible to observe the level of quality of life, 85.0% obtained a regular level; 15.0%, a good level; none, a bad level. The physical level, 51.7% obtained a regular level; 35.8%, a bad level; 12.5%, a good level. The emotional level, 50.8% obtained a good level; 48.3%, a regular level; 0.8%, a bad level. The social level, 60.8% obtained a good level; 39.2%, a regular level; none, a bad level. At the level of personal relationships, 57.5% obtained a good level; 35.8%, a regular level; and 6.7% a bad level. In the hobbies and vacations level, 57.5% obtained a regular level; 26.7%, a bad level; 15.8% a good level. Conclusions: The level of quality of life in patients with Chronic Kidney Failure on hemodialysis was regular.

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de calidad de vida de pacientes con IRC en hemodiálisis de la Clínica San Juan Masías. Materiales y métodos: La metodología es cuantitativa, el diseño es no experimental, de corte transversal y no correlacional, se trabajó con la población total, participaron 120 pacientes con diagnóstico de Insuficiencia Renal Crónica en hemodiálisis. La técnica fue la encuesta y el instrumento el “Test de calidad de vida en pacientes en hemodiálisis”. Resultados: Se pudo observar, el nivel de calidad de vida, el 85.0% obtuvo un nivel regular; el 15.0%, un nivel bueno; ninguno, un nivel malo. El nivel físico, el 51.7% obtuvo un nivel regular; el 35.8%, un nivel malo; el 12.5%, un nivel bueno. El nivel emocional, el 50.8% obtuvo un nivel bueno; el 48.3%, un nivel regular; el 0.8%, un nivel malo. El nivel social, el 60.8% obtuvo un nivel bueno; el 39.2%, un nivel regular; ninguno, un nivel malo. El nivel relaciones personales, el 57.5% obtuvo un nivel bueno; el 35.8%, un nivel regular; y el 6.7% un nivel malo. El nivel aficiones y vacaciones, el 57.5% obtuvo un nivel regular; el 26.7%, un nivel malo; el 15.8% un nivel bueno. Conclusiones: El nivel de calidad de vida en pacientes con Insuficiencia Renal Crónica en hemodiálisis fue regular.
