Effectiveness of staff education for the success of treatment in patients with tuberculosis

Abstract

Objectives: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of the education provided by staff for the success of treatment in patients with tuberculosis. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, using the GRADE evaluation using its strength and degree of recommendation. Results: Of the total of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% affirm that the education provided by the staff is essential for the completion of treatment in patients with tuberculosis. Conclusions: It was evident from the 10 articles reviewed, 100 (n=10/10) that 100% show that education and awareness in patients with tuberculosis is essential to avoid abandonment and successfully complete their treatment.

Objetivos: Sistematizar las evidencias sobre la efectividad de la educación que brinda el personal para el éxito del tratamiento en pacientes con tuberculosis. Materiales y Métodos: Revisión Sistemática observacional y retrospectivo, la búsqueda se ha restringido a artículos con texto completo, y los artículos seleccionados se sometieron a una lectura crítica, utilizando la evaluación de GRADE utilizando su fuerza y grado de recomendación. Resultados: Del total de los10 artículos revisados el 100 % afirma que la educación que brinda el personal es primordial para la culminación de tratamiento en pacientes con tuberculosis. Conclusiones: Se evidencio de los 10 artículos revisados, el 100 (n=10/10) que el 100% muestran que la educación y la sensibilización en pacientes con tuberculosis es fundamental para evitar el abandono y culminar satisfactoriamente su tratamiento.
