Knowledge and practices of the primary caregiver for the prevention of pressure injuries in the general surgery service of the Hermilio Valdizan Medrano- Huánuco hospital - 2022

Abstract

The present research study aims to determine the relationship that exists between the knowledge and practice of the primary caregiver for the prevention of pressure injuries in the general surgery service of the Hermilio Valdizan Medrano Hospital - Huánuco - 2022. Materials and methods: This study adopts deductive and observational research methods. We will work with a population made up of 85 primary caregivers (family members of the postoperative patient, etc.). According to the objectives of the study, two instruments will be used: a knowledge questionnaire consisting of 22 closed questions including the 4 dimensions: skin assessment 3 questions, hygiene 9, feeding and mobilization 5. As a second instrument, a caregiver practice observation guide consisting of 19 items was used, which was evaluated with the Likert Scale. These instruments were developed by Quispe Huamán, Y Lucero; Mamani V, Delia; Quispe C, Marisol. The data processing plans will be entered into the Microsoft Excel program, they will be analyzed using IBM, to later graph tables and charts. Applying a descriptive analysis and then an inferential analysis with a Chip square hypothesis test.

El presente estudio de investigación tiene por objetivo Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y la práctica del cuidador primario para la prevención de lesiones por presión en el servicio de cirugía general del Hospital Hermilio Valdizan Medrano- Huánuco – 2022. Materiales y métodos; este estudio adopta métodos de investigación deductivos y observacionales. Trabajaremos con una población conformada por 85 cuidadores primarios (familiar del paciente postoperado, de acuerdo a los objetivos del estudio se utilizarán dos instrumentos: cuestionario de conocimientos que consta de 22 preguntas cerradas incluyendo las 4 dimensiones: valoración de la piel 3 preguntas, higiene 9, alimentación y movilización 5. Como segundo instrumento se utilizó una guía de observación de prácticas del cuidador compuesta por 19 ítems, que se evaluó con la Escala de Likert. Estos instrumentos fueron elaborados por Quispe Huamán, y Lucero; Mamani V, Delia; Quispe C, Marisol. Los planes de procesos de datos serán ingresados en el programa Microsoft Excel, se analizarán mediante IBM, para posterior mente graficar tablas y gráficos. Aplicando un análisis descriptivo y luego un análisis inferencial con prueba de hipótesis de Chip cuadrado.
