Two-dimensional analysis, geometric shape and gingival zenith in anterosuperior teeth in patients attending the dental office, Dental Estudio in the year 2022

Abstract

A total of 36 individuals who met the inclusion criteria were evaluated at the 'Dental Studio' dental office. These patients were asked to participate in the research by signing an informed consent. With their authorization, a study model was taken using alginate, which was immediately poured with dental stone. Geometric shape analysis and gingival zenith were evaluated on the study model, where various lines were drawn to identify the gingival zenith, its location, and its displacement in millimeters from the vertical bisected line. Results: It was found that the geometric shape of the upper anterior teeth was 22.2% square teeth, 61.1% oval teeth, and 16.7% triangular teeth. The position of the gingival zenith for all upper anterior teeth in relation to the vertical bisected line did not exceed 1 mm. Conclusion: The bidimensional analysis, geometric shape, and gingival zenith of the upper anterior teeth do not show a relationship (P > 0.05)

Se evaluaron un total de 36 personas que acudieron al consultorio dental “Dental Studio” que cumplieran los criterios de inclusión, a estos pacientes se les solicitó su participación en la investigación firmando un consentimiento informado, con su autorización se le tomó un modelo de estudio con alginato, el cual fue vaciado con yeso piedra inmediatamente, los análisis de forma geométrica y cenit gingival fue evaluado en el modelo de estudio, en donde se realizaron distintos trazos para identificar el cenit gingival, su ubicación y su desplazamiento en milímetros desde el vertical bisecada. Resultados: Se evidenció que la forma geométrica en dientes antero superiores fue de 22.2% para dientes cuadrados, 61.1% para dientes ovoides y 16.7% para dientes triangulares, que la posición del cenit gingival para todas las piezas antero superiores en relación a la vertical bisecada no fue mayor a 1 mm. Conclusión: El análisis bidimensional, forma geométrica y cenit gingival de los dientes antero superiores no presentan relación (P>0.05).
