Level of knowledge and practice in biosafety of emergency nurses, Hospital Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión, Lima - 2022

Abstract

Methods: the study will be hypothetical, deductive, correlational. A sample of 75 nurses will be taken. The questionnaire and checklist will be applied to them, both validated and reliable to determine the level of knowledge and practices in Biosafety. The questionnaire consists of 20 questions that integrate 3 dimensions: hand washing, protective barriers and solid waste disposal management. , with a multiple alternative response type, which according to the rating scale concludes at a low level (0-10), medium (11-15) and high level (16-20). The checklist consists of 15 items, obtaining Poor 0 – 4; Efficient 5 – 9; Very efficient 10 – 15.

Métodos: el estudio será hipotético, deductivo, correlacional. Se tomará una muestra de 75 enfermeros. En ellos se aplicará el cuestionario y lista de cotejo, ambos validados y confiables para determinar el nivel de conocimiento y prácticas en Bioseguridad, el cuestionario consta de 20 preguntas que integran 3 dimensiones: lavado de manos, barreras protectoras y manejo de eliminación de residuos sólidos, con tipo de respuesta de alternativa múltiple, que según escala valorativa concluyen en nivel bajo (0-10), medio (11-15) y alto (16-20). La lista de cotejo consta de 15 ítems, obteniendo Deficiente 0 – 4; Eficiente 5 – 9; Muy eficiente 10 – 15.
