Abstract

Non-specific low back pain, characterized by pain in the lower back without an identifiable specific cause, is a prevalent condition worldwide affecting people of all ages and professions. Adequate knowledge of this condition is essential for both its prevention and effective management. However, significant global challenges persist regarding the understanding and management of non-specific low back pain, and kinesophobia, the excessive fear of movement due to pain, is a variable that may influence the experience of patients.

La lumbalgia inespecífica, caracterizada por un dolor en la zona lumbar sin causa específica identificable, es una afección prevalente a nivel mundial que afecta a personas de todas las edades y profesiones. Se ha observado que el conocimiento adecuado sobre esta afección es esencial tanto para su prevención como para un manejo eficaz. Sin embargo, a nivel global, persisten desafíos significativos en cuanto a la comprensión y el manejo de la lumbalgia inespecífica, y la kinesiofobia, el miedo excesivo al movimiento debido al dolor, es una variable que puede influir en la experiencia de los pacientes.
