Level of knowledge about biosafety measures and compliance of nursing staff in the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The main objective of this research is “to determine how the level of knowledge about biosafety measures is related to the compliance of the nursing staff of the emergency service of a Public Hospital in Lima - Perú.” The methodology to be used in the study will be hypothetical-deductive and with a quantitative approach, a type of applied research, correlational level, non-experimental cross-sectional design, with a sample of 80 members of the nursing staff, whose sample was determined because It has been chosen for convenience as it is a small hospital with only 80 nurses in the emergency area and to carry out the collection of the data to be analyzed, the technique to be used for each variable will be the following: For variable 1; questionnaire titled Knowledge of Biosafety measures according to the authors Espinoza and Gantu in the year 2022 that will allow the researcher to focus on the topic of study to collect exact and interesting information to provide answers to the proposed hypotheses and for variable 2; Checklist of Biosafety practices according to the authors Espinoza and Gantu in the year 2022, with the purpose of compliance and data analysis was developed through the inferential method and hypothesis testing.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal “determinar como el nivel de conocimiento sobre las medidas de bioseguridad se relaciona con el cumplimiento del personal de enfermería del servicio de emergencias de un Hospital Público de Lima - Perú”. La metodología a ser utilizado en el estudio obedecerá al hipotético deductivo y con enfoque cuantitativo, un tipo de investigación aplicada, nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental de corte trasversal, con una muestra de 80 integrantes del personal de enfermería, cuya muestra fue elegida por conveniencia al ser un Hospital pequeño encontrándose solo 80 enfermeras en el área de emergencias y para llevar a cabo la recopilación de los datos a analizar la técnica a emplear para cada variable será la siguiente: Para la variable 1; cuestionario titulado Conocimiento de las medidas de Bioseguridad según los autores Espinoza y Gantu en el año 2022 que le permitirá al investigador centrar el tema de estudio para recolectar información exacta y de interés para dar respuestas a las hipótesis planteadas y para la variable 2; Lista de cotejo de prácticas de Bioseguridad según los autores Espinoza y Gantu en el año 2022, con el propósito del cumplimiento y el análisis de datos fue desarrollado a través del método inferencial y de comprobación de hipótesis.
