Knowledge about the care and practices of nursing staff in polytraumatized patients in a hospital in Lima 2024

Abstract

Objective: “To determine the relationship that exists between the knowledge and practices of nursing staff regarding care of polytraumatized patients Hospital the Lima 2024.” Methods: The present study has a quantitative approach, of an applied type, and of a non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational design. The sample will be made up of 80 emergency service nurses, both emergency and disaster specialists and nurses who are studying the specialty. Regarding the knowledge variable, the instrument that will be used will be the questionnaire called "knowledge of nursing care for polytraumatized patients", it consists of 20 questions, with four dimensions such as: airway, ventilation, circulation and neurological evaluation and their levels. It is high, medium and low; with a reliability level of KR20 with an alpha scale = 0.94 and was taken to expert judgment with validation of less than 0.5; The second instrument is the variable of care practices, the Observation Guide will be used, which is made up of 19 activities and four dimensions such as: care of the respiratory system, care of the circulatory system, care of the integumentary system and care of the neurological system.

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento sobre el cuidado y prácticas del personal de enfermería sobre cuidado del paciente politraumatizado en un Hospital de Lima 2024”. Métodos: El presente estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado y de diseño no experimental, descriptivo y correlacional. La muestra estará conformada por 80 enfermeras del servicio de emergencia tanto especialistas de emergencia y desastres y enfermeros que estén cursando la especialidad. En cuanto a la variable conocimiento, el instrumento que se utilizará será el del cuestionario llamado “conocimiento del cuidado de enfermería al paciente politraumatizado”, consta de 20 preguntas, con cuatro dimensiones como: vía aérea, ventilación, circulación y evaluación neurológica y sus niveles es alto, medio y bajo; con grado de confiabilidad de KR20 con escala de alfa = 0.94 y fue llevado a juicio de expertos con la validación de menor a 0,5 ; el segundo instrumento es de la variable prácticas del cuidado , se usara la Guía de observación que está constituida por 19 actividades y cuatro dimensiones como: cuidados del sistema respiratorio, cuidado del sistema circulatorio, cuidado del sistema tegumentario y cuidados del sistema neurológico.
